CoCoFEST 31 is coming up fast and things are starting to come together for another awesome year. Over the past couple of shows, I have heard that people would like to purchase a t-shirt for CoCoFEST. I am happy to announce that we are selling t-shirts this year. I’ve created a Spreadshirt store for Glenside where we can sell t-shirts, mugs, buttons, tote bags, and several other items. Glenside does make a little bit of money on each purchase to help pay for CoCoFEST. I would like that thank both Ron Delvaux, and Salvadore Garcia for submitting their designs this year. You can purchase your t-shirts, and other items now at the Glenside store at https://glensideccc.myspreadshop.com. Please show your support for CoCoFEST and purchase your t-shirts, and other items today. Make sure to wear your t-shirts at CoCoFEST this year.
Looking for People to Give Presentations at CoCoFEST 31
It is hard to believe CoCoFEST is only a little more than three months away. We are looking for people who would like to give a presentation at this years CoCoFEST.
Presentations can any length in time between 30 minutes and a 1-1/2 hours. This will also include time for the audience to ask questions. The presentation will need to be given in-person and be about the Color Computer. We will provide a computer for you to show your PowerPoint or presentation on a projector and a screen. If you need any additional equipment, please let us know.
If you are interested in giving a presentation this year, send an email to Grant Leighty at cocofest@glensideccc.com. Please include the name of your presentation, a short description of what your presentation will be about, and how long it will be. We would also like to have a short bio about you that we can put on our website.
We look forward to another great CoCoFEST this year and some great talks about the CoCo.

End of Year Tandy Tidings!
Calling all Tandy (and work-alike system) enthusiasts to join the Glenside group on December 30th to share stories while we sip from our favorite beverages and eat our favorite holiday treats!
If you currently own a classic Tandy system (or a Dragon or Alice or another work-alike), use an emulator, previously owned one and have fond memories, or just want to learn a bit about the folks who do, join us via Zoom the Friday evening before New years Eve. We’ll open the “doors” at 6:30PM Central and stay as long as folks have stories to tell or anecdotes to share (or things to demo), or midnight, whichever comes first. As a virtual open house, drop by anytime and stay as long as you want. Bonus points for bringing and sharing your favorite beverage and/or holiday treat choice.
Why did you get interested in Tandy Radio Shack systems? What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen on the platform? 8085, Z-80, 6809, or 68000? What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done with your Tandy? Join us and share!
Please share on other Tandy-related or classic system groups.

Glenside Club Meeting: Thursday November 3, 2022 @ 7:30PM Central
I hope everyone has settled into our new first Thursday of the month meeting date. If not, this is your reminder our meeting is this week.
With Tandy Assembly in the rear view mirror, the conferences are winding down for 2022. I hope everyone was able to physically or virtually attend one or more this year, and perhaps you bought an early Christmas present for the CoCo or MC-10 (or maybe the Alice!) But first, Thanksgiving will be upon us in a flash. I am thankful there are still strong physical and virtual communities for not just the CoCo, but all of the classic systems of the late 70’s, 80’s, and early 90’s. I’ve mellowed over the years, no longer trying to play one-upmanship around which 8-bit machine is best. At this point, I am just thankful to both see what all we accomplished with our machines when they were new and the new accomplishments being made today and tomorrow.
Please join us this Thursday We will open the call early at 6:30PM as in previous months, for some time to catch up and say hello to new faces.

Glenside Color Computer Club Picnic
All,
The Glenside Color Computer Club, Inc. picnic is October 22nd, 2022. It is from 1:00 PM to late. It is at Woodfield mall in Schaumburg, IL. It will start in the food court and then move to the Enterrium. The Enterrium is a restaurant, bar, arcade, and bowling alley.
If you park in the 3 story east parking lot (next to Macy’s) then you can go in the mail entrance or you can go in the Enterrium entrance. If you go in the mall entrance then you can ride the escalator to the 2nd floor and find the food court. There is also an elevator to the 2nd floor. If you take the Enterrium entrance then you can take the stairs to the second floor or you can take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Then walk out the back door and you will be in the food court. If you plan to stay past 7:30 PM then you should use the Enterrium entrance because the mall closes at 8:00 PM. Enterium is open from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
It can be hard too at times to find a seat in the Enterrium restaurant, but if we use the food court restaurants then we should be ok. You will need to buy your own food, there are several restaurants to choose from. The Enterrium will sell you a plastic card for about $20.00. You can play video games and pinball games until the money runs out. The games cost between $1.00 and $3.00 each. Bowling: $100/Hour per Lane with Shoe Rental Included.
The video games include games such as PAC-MAN, Qix, Dig Dug, One of the PAC-MAN games lets you start out at level 255. There is also a version of PAC-MAN this will let 4 people pay at the same time, competing against one another.
Woodfield Mall is handicap accessible. I am not sure if the video games are considered handicap accessible.
I would like for people to let me know if they are coming and how many people they are bringing with them.
